Lagos Life Home and Furniture
Unofficial guide. Last checked 2026-10-10.
Furniture is the part of Lagos Life where players spend money fastest and gain the least. Here is what upgrades actually do, and the order that keeps you solvent.
Does decorating your home do anything?
Players report that furniture is mostly cosmetic, with some items adding comfort that feeds the fun need. We have not verified a single item that changes pay, rent or job offers. Buy furniture when rent and food are already covered, not before.
What guides report about furniture prices
Several guides publish item tables with exact naira prices. We are not repeating those numbers, because they disagree with each other and the in-game shop changed during launch week. Check the price on the shop screen and compare it with one shift of pay before you buy.
A safer order for spending
- Cover rent. Weekly rent starts at about ₦1,200 for a UNILAG hall and ₦2,400 for a Mushin room.
- Build one week of food money. Our calculator starts from ₦8,000 a week for food and other costs.
- Then upgrade. Furniture is a reward for a stable week, not a shortcut to one.
Cheaper ways to raise comfort
Venues and mini-games lift fun without a permanent purchase. See venues and opening hours and mini-games and the daily gem hunt. For the housing side, read houses and rent.
