Skills and traits are the least documented part of Lagos Life. The game went live on 1 October 2026 and changes weekly, so this page separates what we can verify from what guides claim.
What we can verify
- Jobs have requirements and a promotion path, which the jobs page covers.
- Pay per shift is reported to run from about ₦6,600 at entry level to ₦99,000 at the top.
- The game assigns your starting background once per account, so you cannot reroll traits by making a new character.
What guides claim about skills
Guides describe skills that grow as you repeat work, and say higher skill opens better jobs or faster promotions. None of them publish the same list. The number of careers is a useful comparison: 21, 32 and 33 have all been reported. A system that unstable in its first week is not worth building a plan on yet.
What guides claim about traits
Traits are reported as choices made when you build your character, with some guides saying they change how fast needs fall or which offers you get. We have not confirmed a single trait name or effect in game. If you see the list on your character screen, email it to service@lagoslifesimulator.com and we will publish it with credit.
What to focus on instead
Until the system settles, choose work by weekly income and by whether you can keep energy up for the shifts. That is measurable today. A skill you cannot see yet is not.
